known as cutter Mustafiz is a Bangladesh National Cricket Team
player. He is a left-arm medium-fast bowler, left-hand lower-order batsman.
Mustafizur Rahman made an incredible start in his career. In just 9 months of
an international career, he has cemented his place in the playing 11. He is
regarded as Bangladesh's future leader of the pace bowling department.
Mustafizur Rahman was born on 6 September 1995, in Shathkhira. He had very few
facilities of playing cricket there. Mustafizur used to play cricket with the
taped tennis ball.
In 2012,
Mustafizur came to Dhaka to attend a pace bowling camp. He caught the coach's attention on that camp. Then Mustafizur
was admitted to the BCB's pace foundation.
He was selected for the 2014 U-19 world cup squad. Mustafizur
Rahman took 8 wickets on that tournament.
After the
world cup, in 2014, he made his debut in First-class cricket and List-A
cricket. Mustafizur was a surprise choice when he was picked for Bangladesh A
Squad, who toured West Indies.
The left-handed pacer, Mustafizur Rahman comes in the light of his first match taking 6 wickets with his extraordinary cuts with lots of variations. Bangladesh won three ODI series for most performances of Mustafiz, including Pakistan, India and South Africa.
The career of Mustafizur Rahman
Mustafizur Rahman came in Dhaka in 2012 for a fast-bowling camp and impressed the
selectors for the Under-17 team. He got admission to the pace bowling foundation of
BCB. He was debuted in first-class cricket in 2013-2014 sessions in Under-19
world cup, which was held in UAE and finally he has started his “special cut”
from Bangladesh-India home series.
The great time of Mustafizur
Rahman comes in the Bangladesh-India home series in 2015. He made the
record in the cricket world of being the first player who took 11 wickets from his
first 2 matches. From his first 3 matches, he picked up a total 13 wickets in the
series. His brilliant cuts are made him famous and he has been sold by the
highest amount among Bangladeshi players (more 10 million BDT) for the team of
Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Bangladesh
National Cricket Team selectors were quick to recognize Mustafizur Rahman's
bowling talent and called him for
only T20I against Pakistan, which was in 2014. He took 2 wickets in
his very first T20I match. Shahid Afridi and Mohammad Hafeez was the victim.
In June 2014, Mustafizur Rahman made his ODI debut against India. He took
five-wicket in his debut ODI, against strong Indian batting
line-up. Bangladesh won the match, thanks to Mustafizur's outstanding
bowling. That was the first time when the world came to know about his deadly
cutters. He was only the 10th bowler to get five-wickets in his debut
ODI match. In the second match, Mustafizur Rahman took another 6 wickets, which
helped Bangladesh sealed the series. That was Bangladesh's first
ODI series victory against India. Mustafizur took 13 wickets on that 3
match series, highest by any bowler on a 3 match ODI series.
Next
month, He took 5 wickets in a 3 match ODI series against South
Africa. Bangladesh won the series by 2-1, Mustafizur Rahman has a
major role behind the success.
Mustafizur
Rahman made his Test debut against South Africa, Which was followed by the
ODI series. Mustafizur took 4 wickets on his Test debut.
Mustafizur
Rahman is not express quick, but his cutters are lethal. Most of Mustafizur
Rahman's wickets came from cutters. He is also Deadly Accurate.
